I was doing so well this month on Party Poker $200NL (1/2 NL) that I decided to move up in stakes to $400NL (2/4 NL). Now I've played 5/10 NL live at the casino, but this would have been the highest stakes I've played online. It took some getting used to because I wasn't completely comforatble with $20 preflop raises. It's a little different live when you throw in 4 red chips instead of seeing "$20 call" on a button in front of you. I guess with chips you sort of separate yourself from the dollar value.

50 hands in, I was down $250 on 2 hands where guys hit their draws. I immediately rebought chips so I was at $400 again. I rather have the most chips as I can so when I double up I maximize my return. Another 50 hands or so later, I managed to win a AA vs KK showdown and minutes later win another big pot when I flopped a set.

I guess my venture into a higher limt has been successful.
